Occupation Forces Seal Off Doors of Palestinian Homes in Hebron

Hebron: Israeli occupation forces have sealed off the doors of several houses in the city of Hebron, preventing the owners from entering or leaving their homes.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the occupation forces closed the main doors of a number of citizens' homes belonging to the Idris family in the Jaber neighborhood, near the Ibrahimi Mosque (Tomb of the Patriarchs) in the Old City of Hebron, using oxygen welding. This action has left residents unable to access their homes.

The residents of the Jaber, Salaymeh, and Wad Al-Hussein neighborhoods have been living in complete isolation from the rest of the southern part of Hebron for more than a year. The occupation forces have closed all entrances and exits connecting these neighborhoods to the rest of the city with barbed wire, creating a sense of isolation and confinement for the residents.

More than 750 Palestinian families in the Old City of Hebron are enduring challenging living conditions due to the increasing series of measures imposed by the Israeli occupation forces. Since October 7, 2023, approximately 11 neighborhoods in the Old City have been under a curfew during the evening hours, with citizens prohibited from leaving their homes. These restrictions severely limit the residents' freedom of movement and disrupt their daily lives.

Severe restrictions have also been imposed on residents' movement during the day, with specific times allotted for it. In addition to these limitations, residents face daily acts of abuse by occupation soldiers and armed colonizer groups, adding to the difficulties they encounter in their daily lives.
