Bethlehem: Israeli occupation forces renewed a demolition order today for a seven-a-side football field in Aida Refugee Camp, north of Bethlehem.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Munther Amira, head of the Aida Youth Center, stated that the occupation forces renewed their order to demolish the field, located in the Khallat Hammama area on the outskirts of the camp, near the separation wall and settlement expansion. The demolition order was issued under the pretext that the field was built without a permit.
Amira reported that the occupation forces stormed the area and posted the demolition order on the field's gate. The order grants the owners a week to carry out the demolition themselves; otherwise, the occupation authorities will demolish it at their expense. He noted that the field had previously been slated for demolition in November of last year.
