Civil Society Organizations Accuse Israeli Occupation of Continued Aggression in Gaza Despite Ceasefire

Gaza: The Palestinian Non-Governmental Organizations Network has reported that the Israeli occupation government persists in its aggressive actions against the Gaza Strip, maintaining a siege, ongoing bombardment, and obstruction of humanitarian aid entry, despite a ceasefire agreement signed nearly 90 days ago.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the network stated that the ceasefire agreement has merely served as a facade for ongoing crimes, including genocide. The humanitarian situation is worsening, with the destruction of tents for displaced persons, spreading diseases, and severe shortages of food and medicine. The network highlighted that only 23,000 aid trucks have entered the Strip, far below the needed 54,000, with a daily average of just 255 trucks instead of the minimum 600.

The network is urging immediate international intervention to stop the aggression and ensure that the ceasefire agreement is respected. They call for United Nations-supervised international protection for the occupied Palestinian Territory, emphasizing the unity of the West Bank and Gaza Strip and rejecting any separation attempts. Additionally, they advocate for the activation of humanitarian protocols for aid entry and expedited entry of tents and caravans to support approximately 1.5 million displaced individuals. The network also stresses the importance of pursuing international legal action against occupation leaders for war crimes and genocide.
