Occupation Forces Halt Union Activity at Threatened Archaeological Site in Nablus

Nablus: Israeli occupation forces today stormed the area of al-Masoudiyya northwest of Nablus, preventing a union activity aimed at showing solidarity with a threatened archaeological site. The forces cited that the area is designated as a closed military zone.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Shaher Saad, Secretary General of the Palestinian General Federation of Trade Unions, stated that the targeting of al-Masoudiyya is part of ongoing efforts by the occupation to erase Palestinian historical landmarks and seize more land. Saad urged human rights organizations, unions, and international institutions to urgently intervene to halt these violations.

Saad also highlighted that the occupation's actions in the area disrupt the operation of another park owned by the Palestinian General Federation of Trade Unions, further impacting their activities and presence in the region.
