Gaza: Israeli occupation forces prevented a new group of humanitarian cases from leaving Gaza or returning to the Gaza Strip via the Rafah border crossing on Monday.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, WAFA correspondent, quoting the Palestinian Red Crescent Society, reported that the World Health Organization informed the Red Crescent that it had suspended the travel of humanitarian cases. This suspension includes patients and their companions, as well as the return of cases via the Egyptian side to the Gaza Strip.
This development follows an incident where the Israeli army opened fire on UN vehicles on Salah al-Din Road near Route 5 in Khan Younis, southern Gaza. The attack resulted in injuries to several UN aid workers, including one serious injury, and caused damage to a number of vehicles.
