Post: Occupation Forces Block Farmers’ Access to Olive Groves in Kafr Qaddum

Kafr qaddum: Israeli occupation forces (IOF) prevented farmers from reaching their lands in the village of Kafr Qaddum, east of Qalqilya, to harvest olives. Local sources reported that IOF stormed the northwestern area of the village, known as "Qatayn," and positioned themselves at its entrance. Farmers were blocked from accessing their lands, with dozens awaiting permission to proceed with their agricultural activities.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, earlier in the day, IOF stormed the city of Qalqilya from its eastern entrance. They deployed along Al-Wad Street and 22 Street, raided a building in the Shuraim neighborhood, and later withdrew to storm the town of Habla, south of the city. No detentions were reported during these operations.

Olive pickers in the Palestinian governorates frequently face attacks by colonists and IOF soldiers, hindering their access to lands and olive harvests in various regions. The Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission has documented 158 attacks against olive pickers since the start of the current season. Out of these, the occupation army was responsible for 17 attacks, while settlers executed 141.
