Post: Colonists Attack Palestinians and Steal Olives Near Wadi Rahal

Gaza: Colonists, under the protection of Israeli occupation forces, attacked citizens on Tuesday in the Khallet al-Nakhla area near the village of Wadi Rahal, south of Bethlehem: The head of the Wadi Rahal village council, Hamdi Ziada, told WAFA correspondent that a group of colonists stormed the lands of citizen Issa Khalil Odeh and began harvesting olives.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the landowner and a number of citizens attempted to confront the colonists, but were attacked by them and by Israeli occupation soldiers. The altercation resulted in the injury of local resident Khalil Muhammad Khalawi, 60.

The incident is part of a pattern where olive pickers in the Palestinian governorates face repeated attacks by colonists and Israeli occupation soldiers, who prevent them from harvesting olives and accessing their lands.

According to the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, its teams have monitored a total of 158 attacks against olive pickers since the beginning of the current season. Out of these, the occupation army carried out 17 attacks, while settlers carried out 141.
