Occupation Continues Its Aggression on Jenin and Its Refugee Camp for the 42nd Consecutive Day

Jenin: The Israeli occupation persists in its aggression on the city of Jenin and its refugee camp for the 42nd consecutive day, leading to the deaths of 27 people, numerous injuries, and significant destruction of infrastructure and properties.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, last night saw a tragic incident where a three-month-old infant suffocated due to tear gas fired by the occupation forces at the entrance of the Jenin refugee camp. The blockade of all entrances to the camp with dirt mounds continues, forcing residents attempting to return home to turn back. Meanwhile, Israeli bulldozers and military vehicles remain stationed around the camp, with reinforcements continuously being deployed.

The recent withdrawal of Israeli soldiers from the Al-Rabee building near the camp left behind massive destruction in residential apartments used as military outposts for 41 days. Following the withdrawal, the soldiers have repositioned themselves at other locations near the camp.

The situation has forced nearly twenty thousand citizens to evacuate the camp, dispersing them across 39 towns and villages. The ongoing aggression has resulted in the complete destruction of 120 homes and partial damage to dozens more. The occupation has executed 336 raids, conducted numerous field interrogations, and subjected residents to comprehensive searches. Additionally, drone strikes have resulted in approximately 15 bombing operations.

Military reinforcements continue to be sent to the outskirts of the Jenin refugee camp, with military vehicles maintaining a presence in front of the Jenin Governmental Hospital. Israeli tanks are positioned near the camp, preventing local and international journalists from entering to document the widespread destruction and ongoing violations against its residents.
