RAMALLAH: Palestinian Prisoner's Society (PPS) said in a statement that the number of prisoners and detainees in Israeli prisons reached about 9900 up until the beginning of August 2024, noting that this data does not include all detainees from Gaza, specifically those in the camps affiliated with the occupation army. The statement, which was issued today, said that the number of administrative detainees in the occupation prisons reached 3432, while the number of female prisoners in the occupation prisons is 86 female prisoners only in Damon prison, among them a pregnant woman, Jihad Dar Nakhleh, and among the female prisoners, there are 23 female prisoners are administrative detainees, adding that there may be female prisoners from Gaza in the camps affiliated with the occupation forces, but there is no clear data on their numbers. It pointed out that the number of detained children is not less than 250 children. PPS explained that the number of Gaza detainees recognized by the occupation prison administr ation is 1584, noting that this data does not include all detainees, specifically those in the camps affiliated with the occupation army.
