Nine Palestinian Civilians Killed, Several Wounded in Israeli Strikes on Gaza

Gaza city: At least nine Palestinians were killed and others injured on Saturday afternoon in ongoing Israeli airstrikes on Gaza City and Khan Younis, according to WAFA correspondent. Eight people lost their lives in an Israeli airstrike targeting a home belonging to the Abu Tayeh family in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood, north of Gaza City. Additionally, a Palestinian child was killed, and others were injured in an airstrike that targeted a vehicle in the Mawasi area of Khan Yunis.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency – WAFA, the Israeli army had issued warnings to residents about an hour before the airstrikes, advising them to evacuate the Al-Susi Tower, the Al-Ru’ya Building, and nearby tents in Gaza City in anticipation of bombings. This escalation is part of a broader strategy aimed at compelling residents to move southward.

Medical sources have reported that the death toll since dawn has risen to 21, with 13 fatalities occurring in Gaza City alone. Since October 7, 2023, approximately 64,300 Palestinians have been killed, predominantly women and children, with nearly 162,005 individuals reported wounded.

Thousands remain trapped under rubble and on the streets, as ambulances and rescue teams encounter significant challenges in reaching them due to the relentless bombardment and extensive destruction.
