A huge fire broke out in Mount Goyza in Sulaymaniyah at dawn on Monday, burning more than 200 acres, while the Civil Defense confirmed: "The fire is under control." The fire spread widely due to the winds and covered a large area of forests in the mountain. The mayor of Sulaymaniyah, Awat Muhammad, said, according to Rudaw Media Network: "A huge area of Mount Goyza burned. For many years, companies, forestry teams and other parties have been trying to protect this forest, but suddenly a fire broke out, and we do not know the reason."
