Nablus: A Palestinian minor on Monday evening sustained injuries due to a colonist attack in Deit al-Hatab village, east of the occupied West Bank city of Nablus, according to Ameed Ahmad, director of the Ambulance and Emergency Center at the Nablus Red Crescent. Ahmad reported that the Red Crescent crews provided first aid treatment to a 16-year-old minor who was severely beaten up by Israeli colonists in the village.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, earlier this evening, colonists stormed the village and attacked civilians, resulting in a casualty. This incident adds to the ongoing violence faced by Palestinians in the region. Colonists' violence against Palestinians and their property is routine in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli authorities.
The acts of violence perpetrated by colonists include property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, and attacks on vulnerable homes. These actions contribute to the tension and instability in the area, affecting the daily lives of Palestinians.
Approximately 1 million Israeli colonists are residing in colonies in the West Bank and East Jerusalem, which is considered a violation of international law. The presence of these colonists and their routine attacks pose significant challenges to peace and security in the region.
