Doha: The Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs has urged all Muslims to fast on the Day of Ashura pursuant to the Sunnah of the Prophet. In a statement on Saturday, the Ministry of Endowments reminded all Muslims to fast on this day, which is desirable according to the Islamic Sharia law, highlighting that fasting on this day will expiate for the past year, as per Prophet's Hadith. The Ministry reminded all Muslims of this day, in pursuit of reviving the Prophet's Sunnah and expiating the sins, affirming that Muslims can fast on the 10th and 11th Day of Ashura for those who have missed the 9th day.
