Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Planning, Muhammad Tamim, confirmed today, Thursday, that the ministry, with all its human resources and mechanisms, is prepared for the general population and housing census project, which will be conducted in Iraq on 11-20-2024. A statement by the Ministry of Planning stated that Tamim chaired the fifth meeting of the opinion body in the ministry for the year 2024. Tamim pointed out, according to the statement, the importance of the role of local governments in supporting the census project, by providing the basic requirements for this highly important project, pointing out: 'The Statistics and Geographic Information Systems Authority has made great efforts, in order to complete all technical, technological and human requirements to implement the first phase of to implement the stages of the census, which is the experimental census stage that will be launched in all governorates tomorrow, Friday, 5/31/2024, calling on families and citizens in the areas covered, to cooper ate with the enumerators by providing the correct data, because the success of the experimental census represents an advanced step for the success of the general census project."
