The Minister of Oil and Minerals, Dr. Abdullah Al-Amir, inspected today the progress of work at the Geological Survey and Mineral Resources Authority, and the level of implementation of the activities and tasks entrusted to it. Minister Al-Amir and some officials were briefed on the Authority's activities, programs, and projects and its studies on the geological situation in Yemen. The Minister of Oil listened to an explanation of the overall tasks and activities carried out by the authority, most notably the geological mapping project, which was prepared with qualified national cadres, which provides data and information that establish the building of an information base that serves the infrastructure of the state. Pointing to the importance of the project in providing data that helps to properly manage and invest natural resources to serve the national economy. He also reviewed the contents of the Geological Museum and listened to an explanation of the Authority's data bank and its studies of the geologi cal situation in Yemen and the investment opportunities available in this sector, which is one of the promising sectors. Dr. Al-Amir stressed that the Yemen is rich in cadres and natural resources and has promising investment opportunities that will be exploited and benefited by all possible means. He praised the efforts of the Geological Survey and its studies and surveys in the mining sector, which are promising opportunities for investors and represent scientific material for researchers and those interested in this field. He stressed the keenness of the ministry's leadership to support the authority's efforts, work to address the difficulties it faces and activate its various activities and programs.
