Ramallah Together - The Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy addressed the 'Meta' company to request clarification regarding the rumors that the 'WhatsApp' application leaked the data of Palestinian citizens to the occupation forces, warning of the danger of what is rumored to the security and lives of our people. For its part, the 'Meta' company, in an official correspondence, denied the circulating news, under the pretext that the 'WhatsApp' application does not contain any back doors, and does not provide collected information to any government. In the same context, the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Dr. Abdel Razzaq Al-Natsheh, the Ministry is keen to follow up and coordinate with various local and international competent authorities to protect citizens' data from hacking, exploitation and leakage, in addition to the Ministry's endeavor to enhance the security of data and information as much as possible, without ignoring Israel's control and control over all aspects of the liv es of our people.
