The Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO) has called on the international community to adopt innovative strategies and exert more coordinated efforts to consolidate the culture of peace for more resilient and prosperous societies in light of the increasing challenges currently facing the world. On the occasion of the International Day of Peace, which the world celebrates annually on September 21, ICESCO urged respect for the humanitarian standards and principles that must be followed during wars and conflicts to provide better protection for vulnerable groups, such as children, women, the elderly and people with disabilities, in addition to providing all forms of material and moral support to these groups. The ICESCO noted that it works to instill the values of peace, tolerance, and civilized dialogue through ICESCO's approach (360 degrees for peace), which integrates all development-based factors for a comprehensive approach to building peace.
