Amman: Following Friday prayer, partisan and popular activities staged a large-scale protest in front of the nation's central mosque, the Husseini Mosque, to denounce the ongoing aggression by Israel, the massacres carried out by its forces, the violations carried out by its occupation forces in Gaza, and the incursions that are directed towards the holy Al-Aqsa Mosque. The demonstrators demanded that international and humanitarian law be upheld, denounced the application of double standards by the international community toward the Palestinian cause, and urged the international community to fulfill its obligations and prevent the occupation forces from committing more crimes and violations against unarmed civilians in the Gaza Strip. These crimes and violations are being committed in public without any meaningful action being taken to halt Israeli aggression in the Gaza Strip. They emphasized their support for the wise Hashemite leadership in assisting the Palestinian people and the Palestinian struggle, a nd they applauded His Majesty King Abdullah II's efforts at many levels to defend the Palestinian cause.
