Maqbouli, Mutlaq, and Abbad inspect water implementation and sanitation projects in capital Sana’a
The Deputy Prime Minister for Services and Development Affairs, Dr. Hussein Maqbouli, the Minister of Works, Ghaleb Mutlaq, and the Mayor of the Capital, Dr. Hammoud Abbad, inspected today the progress of implementing a project to connect a water network in Al-Marawn neighborhood in Sawan region, at a cost of $250,000.
They were briefed on the components of the project, which includes the connection of main and secondary water network lines, and the installation of 15,000-meter household connections in Al-Majd neighborhood in Al-Marawan neighborhood, which is being implemented by the Municipal Corporation for Water and Sanitation under the supervision of the Works Sector.
The Deputy Prime Minister and the Mayor of the Capital, along with the Chairman of the Social Affairs Committee in the Municipality, Hammoud Al-Naqeeb, also inspected the sanitation project for Al-Mutlaa’a neighborhood in Shu’ub, the first phase, at a cost of 192 million riyals, with a community contribution, with an completion rate of 85 percent.
The Deputy Prime Minister for Services and Development Affairs confirmed that the visit comes in implementation of the directives of the Revolutionary Leadership and the Supreme Political Council to see the level of implementation of service and development projects in the capital.
For his part, Capital’s Mayor stressed the keenness to provide and improve services to citizens in the various directorates of the Municipality, pointing out that these projects are a fundamental pillar of the construction and development process in accordance with the directives of the leadership.
