Malaysian FM: The Aim Of Our Visit To Iraq Is To Open Our Embassy In Baghdad

The Malaysian Foreign Minister, Zambry Abdul Kadir, affirmed: “The aim of our visit to Iraq is to open our embassy in Baghdad.”

Abdul Kadir said in a joint press conference with Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein: “The Malaysian government has the desire to develop bilateral relations with Iraq.”

He added, “We discussed the development of relations between the two countries, the encouragement of investment, education and tourism, and we seek to facilitate the procedures for obtaining entry visas between the two countries.”

He continued: “We seek cooperation in all fields to achieve peace and eliminate the idea of Islamophobia.”
