According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, during a joint press conference in Malaysia, Prime Minister Ibrahim lauded the Maldives' recent decision to prohibit Israelis from entering its territory. This move serves as a protest against violations by the Israeli occupation against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip. Maldives President Moazzur expressed his country's unwavering support for the Palestinian cause, reiterating the Maldives' commitment to advocating for Palestinian rights in various international forums. He called for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state based on the pre-1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital. In their joint statement, both leaders emphasized their dedication to reinforcing the solidarity of the Isla mic Ummah and staying true to Islamic values. They also addressed pressing international issues, particularly those affecting Muslim communities worldwide, and highlighted the need to find just and sustainable solutions to these challenges.
