Lebanese Hezbollah mourned the party's leader Nabil Qawouk. The party said in a statement: "The leadership of Hezbollah announces to the people of the resistance and the nation of mujahideen, and to the religious seminaries in Lebanon and abroad, Sheikh Nabil Qawouk, who received the high divine martyrdom medal as a result of a treacherous Zionist raid in the Shiyah area." It added: "The martyred Sheikh assumed many organizational responsibilities in the various Hezbollah units, worthy of the trust he carried, a great missionary scholar and mujahid, and he was always present in the arenas of jihad, close to the mujahideen on the front lines, and he spent his honorable life in the fields of jihad, giving, and sacrifice." He continued, "We offer our condolences to the Master of the Age and Time, to the Leader, Imam Khamenei, and to his honorable, patient and steadfast family, may God grant them beautiful patience and good reward in this world and the hereafter."
