Kuwait affirmed on Monday the importance of supporting Arab youth and encouraging entrepreneurship as they are the foundation of the future, the leaders of change, the driving force and the hope in building a better and prosperous future for the nation. This came in a speech by the Kuwaiti delegation delivered by Engineer Dalal Thani during her participation in a dialogue session within the third edition of the Arab Youth Parliament, which was launched at the headquarters of the League of Arab States with the participation of 100 young men and women from 16 Arab countries. Engineer Dalal said that the political leadership in Kuwait fully believes in the role of Arab youth in promoting economic integration between Arab countries towards achieving a more prosperous future. She also referred to many Kuwaiti projects that began as youth initiatives under the umbrella of the Kuwaiti Ministry of Youth and later turned into successful cross-border projects that left their mark in many Arab countries. Further, sh e stressed that Kuwait played a pioneering role in supporting and developing the Arab economy through many joint economic initiatives and projects, noting the role of the Kuwait Fund for Development in promoting Arab economic integration. On the other hand, she expressed her happiness at Kuwait's celebration of the 63rd anniversary of its accession to the League of Arab States, which falls on July 20, stressing that this reflects a deep and continuing commitment to strengthening unity and cooperation among Arab countries. Youth representatives from 16 Arab countries, namely Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, the Emirates, Somalia, Tunisia, Oman, Algeria, Lebanon, Syria, Palestine, Mauritania, Yemen, Libya, Jordan, Qatar, in addition to Egypt (the host country), participate in the Arab Youth Parliament.
