King Abdullah II Reiterates Rejection of Israeli Plan to Occupy Gaza

Amman: King Abdullah II of Jordan reiterated on Monday the country's rejection of the Israeli plan to consolidate the occupation of the Gaza Strip, according to the Royal Hashemite Court (RHC).

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the RHC said in a press statement that King Abdullah II reaffirmed Jordan's rejection of the Israeli plan to consolidate the occupation of Gaza and expand military control over it. He emphasized the urgency of reaching an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and ensuring the unimpeded flow of humanitarian aid to all areas of the Strip by all possible means.

The King made these remarks during a meeting in Amman with a US Congress delegation, which included Senators Markwayne Mullin and Joni Ernst, and Representatives Jason Smith and Jimmy Panetta.

Additionally, Jordan's monarch reiterated the country's rejection of Israeli statements regarding the so-called 'Greater Israel' vision, as well as unilateral Israeli measures in the West Bank, including the colonial plan in the E1 area. He criticized the colonial construction plan in the E1 area, labeling it a violation of international law and an infringement on the right of Palestinians to establish their independent state.
