Khouri Reaffirms Palestinian Rights Support in Meeting with Russian Ambassador

Ramallah: Ramzi Khouri, a prominent member of the PLO Executive Committee and Head of the Higher Presidential Committee for Church Affairs in Palestine, engaged in a meeting with Gocha Buachidze, the Russian Ambassador to Palestine. The gathering was also attended by Viktor Nikita Kozhemyak, Political Officer at the Russian Representative Office in Palestine, alongside Samir Hazboun and Raed Hanania, who hold significant roles within the Presidential Committee and Public Relations, respectively.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Khouri extended greetings and holiday well-wishes from President Mahmoud Abbas during the meeting, highlighting the enduring historical ties shared by Palestinian and Russian communities. He acknowledged the Palestinian leadership's gratitude for Russia's unwavering support for Palestinian rights and expressed hopes for peace and goodwill during the holiday season.

The assembly also addressed preparations for upcoming Christmas celebrations, ensuring the events reflect the spiritual importance and global standing of Palestine. Ambassador Buachidze reiterated Russia's dedication to establishing a just and comprehensive peace in the region, advocating for a two-state solution that respects the Palestinian people's right to an independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.
