Gaza: Colonists, backed by Israeli forces, attacked Palestinian farmers on Monday evening in the town of Mikhmas, northeast of occupied Jerusalem: Colonists assaulted farmers as they were plowing their land, attempting to halt their agricultural activities.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, residents of Mikhmas confronted the attackers, compelling them to retreat. However, Israeli occupation forces entered the area to support the colonists, deploying live bullets, sound bombs, and tear gas against the local residents. Fortunately, no injuries were reported during the incident.
The Jerusalem Governorate issued a brief statement confirming the assault and the subsequent intervention by Israeli forces. The situation in the West Bank, including Jerusalem, remains tense, with frequent clashes reported.
According to the Wall and Colonization Resistance Commission, there have been 2,350 attacks by Israeli forces and colonists against Palestinians and their property in the West Bank during October. This incident in Mikhmas adds to the growing list of confrontations in the region, highlighting the ongoing conflict and heightened tensions between the two groups.
