Gaza: Four Palestinian civilians, including a journalist, were killed on Monday evening in Israeli shelling on the Sabra neighborhood in western Gaza, according to WAFA correspondent. Israeli tanks shelled Sabra, Gaza's largest neighborhood, resulting in the death of Islam al-Kumi, a journalist.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the shelling targeted a house belonging to the al-Ghazi family in the neighborhood, killing a woman and injuring others. Meanwhile, Israeli forces targeted aid seekers to the east of Deir al-Balah, claiming the lives of two individuals. Earlier the same evening, occupation forces targeted a group of civilians waiting for humanitarian aid in the northern Gaza Strip, killing one civilian and injuring 20 others.
Israel unilaterally ended the Gaza ceasefire agreement and resumed its aggression on the Strip on Tuesday, March 18, carrying out a wave of airstrikes across the Strip. These strikes have resulted in the deaths of at least 10,460 people, with 44,189 others wounded, as reported by medical sources. In the last 24 hours alone, Gaza hospitals have admitted the bodies of 60 slain Palestinians and 344 casualties.
The ongoing military onslaught by Israel on the Strip since October 2023 has led to the deaths of 62,004 Palestinians, mostly women and children, and injured 156,230 others. Additionally, at least 10,000 people are unaccounted for, presumed dead under the rubble of their homes throughout the Strip.
The Israeli aggression has also caused the forceful displacement of nearly two million people from across the Gaza Strip. The vast majority of the displaced have been forced into the densely crowded southern city of Rafah near the border with Egypt, marking Palestine's largest mass exodus since the 1948 Nakba.
