Jordanian Prime Minister, Iraqi Minister of Interior Discuss Enhancing Relations

Jordanian Prime Minister Bishr Al Khasawneh discussed on Thursday with Iraqi Minister of Interior Abdul Amir Al-Shammari ways to enhance the cooperation between the two countries in various fields.

During the meeting, the two sides also discussed the Iraq-Jordanian electricity interconnection, which is expected to enter into force within less than a month. They also discussed cooperation in combating drug and weapons smuggling and the need for coordination in that field with neighboring countries that suffer similar challenges.
