Jordanian Army Announces Downing of Drone That Tried to Infiltrate into Country

The Jordanian Armed Forces announced Tuesday that it downed a drone that tried to infiltrate into the country. The Jordanian News Agency (Petra) quoted a responsible military source in the General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces as saying that the border guard forces in the southern military region detected an attempt by a drone to cross the Jordanian border, and dealt with it, applied the rules of engagement, and shot it down inside Jordanian territories. The source said that the drone was handed over to the competent authorities, stressing that the Jordanian Armed Forces deal firmly with various threats on the border fronts, and any efforts intended to undermine and destabilize the country's security and terrorize its citizens.
