Amman, Jordanian Foreign Minister, Ayman Safadi, discussed in a phone call Monday with his Hungarian counterpart Peter Szijjarto, efforts of reaching a ceasefire and de-escalation in Gaza. The two ministers underscored the importance of preventing further escalation and its potential threats to regional and global security and peace. During the call, Safadi underscored that halting the aggression against Gaza and addressing the resulting humanitarian crisis is essential to prevent the war from spreading regionally. He stressed that meeting the Palestinians needs, especially their right to freedom and a sovereign independent state on the Palestinian territory based on the two-state solution is the only way to achieve security and stability for all.
