The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief), in cooperation with the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO), has begun to implement the Orphan Care Project to serve 1,000 orphaned beneficiaries from underpriviliged Jordanian and Syrian refugee households in the Kingdom's governorates. According to a JHCO statement Tuesday, the project aims to improve the orphans' livelihoods by providing a monthly financial guarantee that provides their basic living needs for a full year, and raise their educational level under a warranty during the year to meet their needs for basic school supplies. The project also seeks to provide Eid clothing needs and various entertainment programs during the holidays, integrate beneficiaries into local communities, focus on the psychological aspect and raise their morale. During the launching ceremony, JHCO Secretary-General, Dr. Hussein Shebli, noted the orphan support programs represent an arm of the organization's humanitarian work inside the Kingdom with t he KSRelief's support. Through the project, Shebli said the JHCO will be able to include about 1000 orphans from underprivileged Jordanian and Syrian refugee families in the Kingdom's governorates, in coordination with the Ministry of Social Development and local associations. Meanwhile, Director of KSRelief Office in Jordan, Nayef bin Saleh Al-Shammari, said the center continues to provide humanitarian support by launching the project in Jordan to improve the living, economic and social standards of the target households.
