For his part, Al-Asmari stressed the "strong" bilateral relations at various levels, voicing importance of strengthening trade ties, in light of the legislative frameworks and facilities provided by the two countries, as well as trade agreements and geographical proximity. The Saudi official also called for developing visions and work mechanisms for the SJBC, which is scheduled to be held before the end of this year, to make this event a "new" starting point for joint trade and investment relations. The official urged holding joint sectoral meetings remotely to answer businesspeople's inquiries with the participation of the two countries' competent government agencies. This future effort, he said, comes within the framework of achieving integration between the public and private sectors and solving problems and challenges facing the two nations' business owners. Meanwhile, Al-Semreen said the Saudi side is "serious" about building "distinguished" economic relations and raising the volume of trade exchange . Al-Semreen also stressed the "deep-rooted and strong historic and brotherly " relations at various levels, apart from geographical proximity and social ties. Noting need to review the investment stimulation legislation in both countries, he said relations at the level of the Saudi and Jordanian private sectors are "distinguished" by the growth and development of the volume of joint trade exchange. Al-Semreen stressed keenness of the Saudi side in the SJBC to develop economic and trade relations with Jordan to levels that achieve common interests within "clear plans and programmes." He stressed the importance of the sectoral committees within the SJBC in identifying and addressing obstacles and investing in available opportunities.
