Jenin: Israeli occupation forces continue their wide-scale offensive in the city of Jenin and its refugee camp for the 62nd consecutive day. The ongoing military operations have resulted in significant demolition and burning of homes, with some being converted into military posts by the Israeli troops.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the offensive, primarily concentrated on the Jenin refugee camp, has led to the displacement of approximately 21,000 people. These individuals are now seeking refuge in Jenin city and nearby villages. Since the onset of the aggression, 34 Palestinians have been killed, with dozens more injured and many detained.
Estimates suggest that around 230 Palestinians from the governorate have been detained since the assault began. Recently, additional military reinforcements have been deployed into the Jenin refugee camp, accompanied by bulldozers to carry out extensive land leveling operations aimed at widening roads and creating new pathways. Gunfire continues to echo around the camp, as Israeli troops maintain a strong presence within the camp and surrounding neighborhoods.
The Jenin Municipality reports that all streets within the refugee camp and several in the city have been destroyed by Israeli forces. Furthermore, 3,200 homes in the refugee camp have been abandoned due to the relentless offensive.
