Israeli Strike on Gaza City Claims Lives of Two Palestinians

Gaza city: An Israeli strike on Gaza City on Monday evening resulted in the deaths of two Palestinians.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the Israeli bombardment specifically targeted the Sha'f neighborhood within the city, leading to these fatalities.

Since the ceasefire agreement came into effect on 11 October, Israel has committed over 80 violations of its terms, resulting in the deaths of 80 Palestinians and injuries to 303 others. Additionally, the bodies of 426 slain Palestinians have been recovered so far. In the past 24 hours alone, Gaza hospitals admitted the bodies of 57 slain Palestinians, including 45 who were directly targeted by Israeli bombing and 12 whose bodies were recovered from the rubble, along with 158 casualties.

Israel has been conducting a military onslaught on the Strip since October 2023. This offensive has resulted in the deaths of 68,216 Palestinians, mostly women and children, and injuries to 170,361 others. Furthermore, at least 10,000 people are unaccounted for, presumed dead under the rubble of their homes throughout the Strip.

The ongoing Israeli aggression has also led to the forceful displacement of nearly two million people from across the Gaza Strip. The majority of the displaced individuals have been forced into the densely populated southern city of Rafah near the Egyptian border, marking Palestine's largest mass exodus since the 1948 Nakba.
