Jabalia: An Israeli strike on Friday afternoon killed six Palestinians and injured others in Jabalia in the northern Gaza Strip, according to WAFA correspondents. They reported that an Israeli fighter jet targeted a house belonging to the Najjar family in Jabalia al-Balad, resulting in multiple fatalities and injuries.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, earlier in the day, an Israeli combat drone attacked a charging point for cell phones between tents sheltering displaced people to the west of Khan Younes. This incident claimed the lives of four and left several others injured. Additionally, Israeli forces opened fire at an aid distribution center to the west of Rafah, killing four more individuals.
Israel ended the Gaza ceasefire agreement unilaterally and resumed its military actions on Tuesday, March 18. Since then, a series of airstrikes have been conducted across the Strip, leading to the deaths of hundreds of Palestinians, including over 100 children. The death toll has reached at least 4,402, with 13,489 others wounded, as reported by medical sources. Emergency teams are working to recover victims still trapped under the rubble.
In the last 24 hours alone, 70 slain Palestinians' bodies, including three retrieved from the rubble, and 189 casualties have been admitted to hospitals in the Strip. These numbers do not account for the fatalities and injuries in the northern Strip due to inaccessibility.
The renewed aggression has raised significant humanitarian concerns, particularly due to the ongoing siege and restrictions on the entry of medical and humanitarian aid. Since October 2023, Israel's military onslaught on the Strip has resulted in at least 54,677 Palestinian deaths, predominantly women and children, and left 125,530 others injured.
Moreover, at least 10,000 individuals remain unaccounted for, presumed dead beneath the rubble of their homes throughout the Strip. The conflict has led to the forceful displacement of nearly two million people, predominantly to Rafah near the Egyptian border, marking the largest mass exodus in Palestine since the 1948 Nakba.
