Israeli soldiers assault a journalist covering restrictions in Jerusalem
JERUSALEM: A photojournalist was injured today while covering the assault by Israeli occupation forces on worshippers who were performing the weekly Friday prayers outdoors in the neighborhoods of Wadi Al-Joz and Ras Al-Amud in occupied Jerusalem.
WAFA correspondent reported that Israeli occupation forces violently attacked photojournalist Mustafa Al-Kharouf in Wadi Al-Joz, resulting in head injuries. The worshipers were performing prayers there after being denied entry into the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound by the Israeli forces. At least seven worshipers were detained by the Israeli forces in the aftermath.
Eyewitnesses reported that Israeli occupation forces obstructed the work of the press crews, preventing them from reaching their colleague Al-Kharouf to check on his condition after he was evacuated from the scene for medical treatment.
