Israeli shelling of Gaza City kills 5, injures 20 others
At least five civilians were killed and more than 20 others were injured in an Israeli bombardment of Gaza City.
Local sources confirmed that Israeli warplanes launched two raids on the market in the Daraj neighborhood east of Gaza City, crowded with vendors and shoppers, resulting in the killing of at least five civilians and the injury of more than twenty others, all of whom were taken to hospitals.
According to the latest statistics, the death toll in the Gaza Strip has risen to 43,061, mostly children and women, since the start of the Israeli aggression on October 7, 2023. The number of casualties has so far reached 101,223, in addition to thousands who remain missing under the rubble, amid the deteriorating humanitarian situation in the besieged Strip.
