Colonial Israeli settlers attacked and looted a commercial store today in the town of As-Sawiyah, to the south of Nablus in the occupied West Bank, according to local sources. Tamer Abdullah, a local resident, reported that a group of settlers from the illegal colonial settlement of Rechalim, illegally built on Palestinian land near the town, raided his store located on the main street. The settlers vandalized the storefront, breaking doors and stealing various items before leaving the scene, he added. The town of As-Sawiyah has been witnessing repeated attacks by the Israeli military and settlers targeting local residents and their properties. Israel settler violence has seen a noticeable uptick since the beginning of the all-out Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip. Watch groups argue that the Israeli government is taking advantage of the media focus on the situation in Gaza to let its settler militias carry out their colonial agenda in the occupied West Bank.
