Hebron: Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir stormed the Ibrahimi Mosque this Wednesday morning amid tight security measures. Ben-Gvir, accompanied by dozens of colonists, performed Talmudic dances in the courtyards of the mosque.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, this incident coincided with the occupation authorities' decision to close the Ibrahimi Mosque to Muslim worshippers from yesterday until this evening, on the occasion of Passover, allowing colonists full access to the site.
The occupation authorities enforce a complete closure of the Ibrahimi Mosque for ten days each year, citing Jewish holidays as the reason. This practice denies Palestinian worshippers their right to access the mosque, highlighting the ongoing temporal and spatial division imposed by the occupation.
