Jenin: Israeli occupation authorities issued a military order on Tuesday to remove a massive number of trees spanning 59 dunums in the village of Zabuba, located to the northwest of Jenin in the northern West Bank. According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission stated that the military order, numbered N.K/55/25, targets a significant layer of trees for removal and destruction under the pretext of military purposes, marking an attack on Palestinian agricultural lands. The commission further noted that Israel has intensified the issuance of such orders across Palestinian lands in recent months. These actions are justified under security reasons and aim to protect roads used by settlers. Additionally, the commission highlighted that Israel's ongoing targeting of Palestinian trees and crops is a reflection of the broader implementation of apartheid and racial segregation policies. These measures restrict the rights of Palestinian landowners while dir ecting resources to benefit Israeli settlers.
