Gaza: Israeli occupation forces on Monday uprooted a significant number of forest and ornamental trees in the village of Ein Shibli, located in the central Jordan Valley. The operation has sparked concern among local residents and human rights activists, as it is seen as part of a broader policy impacting Palestinian properties in the region.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency – WAFA, human rights activist Aref Daraghmeh reported that Israeli bulldozers were deployed to remove several trees along the main road in the center of Ein Shibli. Daraghmeh highlighted that this action was not unprecedented, as prior notices had been issued by the occupation, indicating an intent to uproot the trees.
The removal of these trees is viewed by some as part of a systematic effort to demolish and uproot Palestinian property in the Jordan Valley. The region has long been a focal point of tension, with ongoing disputes over land and property ownership between Israeli authorities and Palestinian residents.
