Jerusalem: Israeli occupation forces tightened their military measures at the Tunnel military checkpoint, linking the towns of Biddu and al-Jib, northwest of occupied Jerusalem, according to local sources. The increased security measures involved checking citizens' IDs and searching vehicles, resulting in severe traffic congestion and delays.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, for the fourth consecutive day, villages and towns north of Jerusalem have faced a widespread campaign of house raids and arrests in the towns of Qatanna, al-Qubayba, and Biddu. These operations have included attacks on citizens, some of whom have been detained and interrogated on the spot.
These restrictions have significantly disrupted daily life, causing massive traffic jams, hindering thousands of residents from reaching schools and workplaces, and leading to the closure of shops. Additionally, patients with chronic illnesses have been reported to suffer due to the closures.
