Jenin: Israeli forces closed the Dotan military checkpoint west of Jenin on Saturday morning, blocking all movement to and from the town of Barta'a. The closure of the checkpoint completely isolated Barta'a and its population of approximately 8,000 from the Jenin Governorate, as it is the only crossing point connecting the town to the city and the rest of the governorate's towns.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the closure has severely impacted the daily lives of Barta'a's residents, who rely on the checkpoint for access to essential services and economic activities in Jenin and surrounding areas. The sudden shutdown has raised concerns among the population about prolonged isolation and disruption of their routine activities.
