Ramallah: Israeli forces on Monday took control of an under-construction residential building in the town of Turmus Ayya, located northeast of Ramallah, converting it into a military outpost. The Israeli flag was hoisted atop the structure, as reported by local security sources.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, this development is part of a broader pattern of increasing military and colonist activities across the villages in the Ramallah and al-Bireh Governorate. These areas have been experiencing repeated incursions, attacks on residents and their properties, and the destruction of agricultural lands.
In a related incident four days ago, dozens of armed colonists launched an attack on local residents in the town of Sinjil. The violent raids resulted in the deaths of two young men and left at least ten others injured. The towns of Sinjil, al-Mazra'a ash-Sharqiya, 'Abwein, and Jaljiliya in northern Ramallah have all been affected.
Approximately three weeks ago, additional violence occurred when three Palestinians were fatally shot by colonists in a brutal attack on the village of Kafr Malik.
