Ramallah: Israeli forces today closed the western entrance of al-Mughayyir village northeast of Ramallah, preventing residents from entering or leaving the village, according to security sources.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the western entrance is currently the village's only access point, after Israeli forces closed its eastern entrance on October 7, 2023. This action has left the residents of al-Mughayyir without any access to or from the village.
A report issued by the Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission last September highlighted that the total number of military checkpoints and iron gates installed by the Israeli army across the West Bank has reached 910. This includes 83 gates installed since the beginning of 2025. Notably, 247 iron gates were installed following the onset of the Israeli aggression against Gaza on October 7, 2023.
