SALFIT: Israeli occupation forces intensified movement restrictions in the Salfit Governorate in the central West Bank by closing village entrances with iron gates and military checkpoints, and conducting a raid in Kifl Haris.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the forces sealed iron gates at the entrances of Salfit city, Kifl Haris, and the village of Haris. A military checkpoint was also established at the entrance of Deir Istiya, blocking residents' movement in and out of the area.
Witnesses indicated that Israeli forces stormed Kifl Haris and subsequently closed its main gate, compelling shop owners to shut their businesses and restricting residents' freedom of movement. The actions were reportedly taken to facilitate the entry of Israeli colonists into the town to perform Talmudic rituals at Islamic shrines located there.
