Tulkarem: Israeli occupation forces have issued stop-work orders against three homes owned by Palestinian residents in the village of Kafr al-Labad, located east of Tulkarem.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, one of the homeowners, Adel Thulthain, reported that he was taken aback when he discovered Israeli soldiers placing the orders on a pole near his residence. Upon inquiry, he was informed that construction on his home must cease immediately.
Thulthain's home, which has been under construction since 2000, is where he and his family have lived for the past three years. The property consists of two floors, with the first floor fully occupied by the family, while the second floor remains under construction. Thulthain has expressed his intention to appeal the order and provide legal documentation to contest the Israeli action. This move is part of a larger pattern affecting the housing rights and urban development of Palestinians on their land.
Last month, Israeli authorities issued demolition orders for 93 structures. These included 25 in Nablus, 24 in Tulkarem, 13 in Hebron, and eight in Tubas.
