16 Palestinian Detainees Face Isolation and Hunger in Israeli Megiddo Prison

Gaza: The Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs reported that 16 Palestinian detainees in Israel's Megiddo prison are enduring harsh conditions of isolation and hunger.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the Commission's lawyer detailed that the detainees face ongoing abuse, including severe physical assaults, intrusive searches, and prolonged exposure to harsh lighting that disrupts their sleep. The substandard quality of food provided has resulted in considerable weight loss among the detainees.

The commission noted that these conditions have intensified since the beginning of the aggression on Gaza in October 2023. This escalation is seen as a form of retaliation and slow killing of the detainees.
