Al-Bireh: A Palestinian teenager was injured by live ammunition fired by Israeli occupation forces during a military raid on the Um Alsharayet neighborhood in the city of Al-Bireh. The incident occurred on Monday amid rising tensions in the region.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) confirmed in a brief statement that a 17-year-old boy was wounded by live bullets during the Israeli forces' incursion into the area. The confrontation heightened as Israeli military units stormed the neighborhood, leading to clashes with local residents.
Security sources informed WAFA that the Israeli forces' actions included firing live rounds and tear gas canisters at residents. The military unit's presence in the area also involved conducting identity checks on several locals. During the raid, Israeli soldiers detained a young man, adding to the tension in the community.
