Post: Israeli Forces Initiate Road Widening to Support Tarusa Colony Southwest of Hebron

Hebron: Israeli forces on Monday commenced bulldozing operations to expand the road connecting the towns of Idhna and Dura, located southwest of Hebron, to facilitate access to the recently established Tarusa colony on Palestinian land.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, local sources reported that Israeli forces, accompanied by bulldozers and heavy machinery, have started the road widening process from Khirbet Suba through Khirbet Humsa, covering approximately eight kilometers. The expansion is part of a broader strategy to enhance infrastructure supporting the controversial colony.

Abdul Rahman Tmeizi, director of public relations at Idhna Municipality, highlighted that the Israeli occupation authorities and settlers aim to enforce a new geographical reality in the western part of the Hebron district. This initiative is part of a colonial plan targeting a road extending for approximately eight kilometers. The proposed route begins at bypass road No. 35 in the Farsh al-Hawa area, traverses the lands of Idhna, Khirbet Suba, and the village of al-Kum, and culminates in the Tarusa area, where the colony is being established on the region's highest hill.
